College Essay
This is it: your last take-home essay. This is it: your last chance to blog with your loving classmates. Just for tuning in, I'll remind you to keep your final essay to 500 words and that the purpose of this essay is to share a piece of yourself with your audience, a piece of yourself that breathes on the paper, a piece of yourself that pries apart the rigid similarities of your common application and screams "Pick me! Pick me!"
Oh, and don't forget to show what you've learned about writing this year. At play are:
- diction
- syntax
- rhetorical devices
- tone
- audience/purpose
- organization
Enjoy!

This is my favorite assignment we've recieved yet. I'm finding it so freeing to show what I know in this creative manner. The words just pour from my fingers and I'm in love with my paper so far.
The question I chose to use was:
If you could balance on a tightrope, over what landscape would you walk? (No net.)
What did everyone else choose?

I chose: "What do you want to accomplish in life?"
